Gloomy NY Thursday… Outside cold, windy and rainy. Not a single ray of a sun break through grey sky all day…
“Its hard to believe how fast last summer passed by, one blink – and its gone!”… that’s was my thoughts when I was shooting West Indian Parade this Labor Day, which was official end of the Summer. This rainy winter day one more time reminds me that everything is relative, and what few months ago felt like first day of Autumn in the middle of Winter could feel like peak of Summer.
Well, photography-vice it was my peak of the Summer this year, since that day I get more images saying out loud ”Summer!” than I had entire summer combined. I decided to post here some of pictures I took that day, so it would be like few rays of sunshine for me. …and maybe for somebody else as well?
It was my first time shooting West Indian Parade. I didn’t managed to get to walk with parade as I planned. I choose bad spot to shoot it from, and I did not brought with me lens long enough to be able to get as much up-close to individual parade participants as I would like. Still I get quite few decent shots, I think. Next year I definitely will shoot it again, only this time I’ll be better prepared, and should have more good quality images.
